Enjoy the Romance and Warmth of Normandy, France

We love our house and the village, and have made some local friends in the short while we have been travelling to St Michel du Montjoie.

We have invited some guests to tell you of their experiences. Perhaps, once you have stayed in La Bas du Bourg, you would be so kind as to write something for us?

We have spent two short breaks at La Bas. Having driven via Calais and taken the ferry direct to Normandy, we liked the longer ferry journey and shorter drive best.

We have experienced warm sunny days on the beaches in February and snowfall in October! The house is very easy to live in and the log fire is lovely of an evening.

The rooms are bright and the large mullioned kitchen window would be wonderful even without the view!

We have eaten at the St Pois Moulin de Jean and can recommend it for special treat.

We shall be staying again.

We rented the house in August as a base to explore the area. It was recommended by our relatives as a clean and comfortable place to stay.

We visited numerous beaches, restaurants and places of interest (museums, parks) which we found on the Internet.

The countryside is lovely and we will probably go back again.

We spent a lovely sunny week in Normandy in August.

Mont St Michel is excellent to visit but we recommend taking a picnic as food is very expensive in the touristy parts. Along from there the same day we visited Aligator Bay, the kids loved it. .

Good accommodation - we have already booked again.
